Please note that by submitting this order form to MNE-AESOP you are not making any type of financial commitment. The purpose of this form is to notify MNE-AESOP of your impending editorial requirements in as much detail as possible. Once we have received this information we will contact you and arrange to send you an estimate for doing the work.

If you agree to the estimate the work will proceed, but if you decide against it at that stage, there is no financial obligation on your part and estimates themselves are provided free of charge. In any case, payment is not generally expected until we have completed the work to your satisfaction. For more information on this, please see payment terms and estimates.

(a)  Choose the type of editorial service you require

• writing: you have notes and ideas but you need help in expressing and organizing them;
• rewriting: you are not satisfied with the text you have written;
• structural editing: you are satisfied in part with what you have written but you may need help with the general structure and flow;
• copy-editing: you are completely satisfied with what you have written and its organization but you need help with one or all of the following:
  • spelling,
  • punctuation
  • grammar,
  • consistency and clarity in style
  • consistency and clarity in format

• proofreading:
  • your text has been copy-edited but needs a final check before it is released, retyped or typeset;
  • your text has been typeset or retyped and the proofs or retype need to be checked against the original typed and edited version.

• copywriting,
• creation of texts,
• editorial research and fact-checking,
• indexing,
• novelization (turning screenplays and scripts into novels),
• reports and editorial advice.

(b)  Decide on the urgency of the work

• Standard: the job goes to the end of the queue
• Swift: the job will be started when we finish the next job in the queue
• Urgent: the job will be started when we finish what we are doing
• Emergency: we put aside what we are doing and switch to your job

Please note:

1. Turnaround time will be provided with the estimate.
2. Short documents (up to 5,000 words or approx. 10 pages) can be turned round in two days, subject to urgency requirements.

• We will send you an estimate of the cost and turnaround time when we receive your document file or typescript. We will then fax the estimate to you and ask you to sign and return it before we proceed with the job.
